First, start out by choosing a mastermind villain. Each player then constructs their recruitment powers and abilities. Then all players go through a hero draft. When the game starts and at the start of every round a villain is dawn and added to the board. When villains are defeated points are scored. The mastermind villain you chose at the beginning of the game pops up during the game to perform attacks. The mastermind villain is more powerful but can also be fought.

If the mastermind manages to carry out his master scheme, too many villains manage to escape without being defeated or the players sustain too many wounds – then the player loses the game.
